We were so excited to try halal Texan bbq but man, what a disaster it was. Stale and smelly meat cooked in substandard cooking oil. Only thing good was mashed potatoes. On top of that, they charged 18% service fee and the overall bill was $190 for a stale and utterly substandard food. This was our first time at this place. We had already decided what we wanted to order: one brisket platter for me and one brisket ribs platter for my wife. We expected the bill to be between $50 and $60 because each platter was priced at under $20. However, the lady taking our order, who claimed to be the owner’s wife, suggested that we order separately – brisket, ribs, and any sides we liked. Following her suggestion, we ordered chili cheese fries, a half-pound of brisket, 2 ribs, lemon rice, 2 toast, and a drink.By the way, the platters they served matched the menu description, with each platter including a half-pound of brisket or 2 ribs and any side under $20. The starters were okay, but the main dishes were below average, and they seemed not to be fresh, resulting in a very poor taste. To our surprise, the bill came out to be $79, with an extra 18% service charge. Splitting it between the two of us, $40 each seemed excessive for the quality of food we received.I would recommend not trusting their suggestions, and if you still decide to try the place, be cautious about following their recommendations. The food was spectacular, the employees were friendly and helpful, very kind and considerate. The food was the best! The sausage was so juicy, the mash potatoes were so smooth along with the gravy, the brisket melted in your mouth. Absolutely worth it.

The food wasn't great. The ribs and brisket was so salty that we couldn't eat. I mention to the manager but she said will take care next time nothing for this time. $160 for 5 items were way to expensive for a 2 star restaurant. Not going back again.Response to the owner. Why would someone pay me for a bad review? Check your tickets for last Saturday where we had 1lb brisket and 1lb ribs plus 2 burgers and fried chicken. I paid $20 gratuity for bringing the food to my table which is insane.

Great little halal BBQ place. Brisket, hotlinks, and mashed potatoes were great. BBQ half chicken was just alright, a bit dry with the thigh piece. Other than that the ambiance was great, staff was very helpful and we all enjoyed the food!
