Tong Sing - Plainville

I'm happy they seated me next to the General Tso's Tofu at the restaurant. It was great to enjoy the Buddhist Delight dish with tofu, a healthier, vegetable-focused option. I appreciate the accommodation. My daughter also had the sweet and sour chicken, which was delicious.

I have been coming to this restaurant for my Chinese food ever since I moved to Plainville. The food is not greasy or overly salty, and I especially enjoy their wonton soup. However, I wish the staff were friendlier. Whenever I call or visit, I have never been greeted with a warm voice or a smile.

I have been a customer of this restaurant for 20 years, as I live within their delivery area. It used to be my favorite among all the local Chinese restaurants, but lately the quality of the food has significantly declined. The fried dishes often come out dry and leathery, such as the chicken fingers that were overly dark and completely dried out inside. It seems like they are leaving the items in the fryer for too long. Another issue is that they used to offer free delivery within a certain radius, but now they charge for delivery and even expect a tip for the driver. I believe it should be one or the other. They have also raised their prices recently, which is understandable, but the quality has not improved with the increase in prices. The staff, who primarily speak and understand Chinese, make it difficult for me to communicate any issues with the food. I may give them another chance in the future, but my last two orders were disappointing. I hope they can return to their former excellence, as they have always been a reliable Chinese restaurant.

Not bad, food is good and they make it quick.
