Duck was hard and grim. the only reason I give two stars is because the taste of the curry soup was decent. pad thai was particularly disappointing. Calamaris consistency was okay, taste was easy to spicy and not good.
Ordnete Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Both weren't great. Pad Thai noodles were soggy and there were very little chicken. Drunk noodles were also soggy and had a lot of cilantro. The description did not mention Cilantro (and I never had drunken Noodles with Cilantro before) and I am one of those people who tasted it like soap, so that was all I could taste, even after I picked it out. There was also a strange bitter taste for the noodles in both dishes.
My husband already gave a Rave rating, but he repeats himself. It was the most tasty Thai food I had in my life and I had a lot of Thai food! I also want to add that our server was extremely sweet, personal and attentive. We will definitely come back. We have a tradition for Thai birthday. I know where we go next year and the years after. My birthday is in March, so of course there is no way to go back until THEN lol! We live over 30 minutes away, but we will be back before, hopefully more times MANNY!
This place is amazing. The dumplings and Thai Shumai were top notches and fresh. The Tom-Yum soup has a beautiful spices. The Pad Kee mao was the most tasteful my wife and I had ever ordered in our 50 years.i had the Thai chili chicken extra sharp was amazing, the spicy level was high for me as I like it. We will definitely be back....often
Even though we haven't dined inside the restaurant, we have been using their takeout services many times. The food is consistently good, the menu choices are sufficient, the preparation is fine, and the prices are more or less budget-friendly. We would specifically like to mention the restaurant's Spicy Beef Salad, Rhong-Tiam Dumplings (steamed or pan-fried, with chicken, shrimp, and cabbage, served with homemade ginger vinaigrette), and Grilled Duck Curry (charcoal grilled duck, bell peppers, eggplant, pineapples, tomatoes, bamboo shoots and basil in homemade red curry). The menu also offers several soup choices, and various fried rice and noodle dishes as well as different curries, chicken, beef and seafood dishes. The dining area is quite spacious and the service friendly and efficient. Last but not least important is the fact that Rhong Tiam is basically the only one dedicated Thai restaurant in the area, after the Thai restaurant located in Hamilton, in Foxmoor Shopping Center went out of business several years ago.
