Honestly the food was super super good. Waitress was awesome and casual, she was good at her job. My only hangup and I don't know if this is normal since this was my first time going there is there were flies inside. Like 5 of them and it drove my whole table crazy. We were sitting next to the window(closed) so maybe thats why they were in such concentration, but it was unpleasant. Like I said everything else was really really good, and I really hope our experience was abnormal but those flies ruined the experience
Frannie C is a terific server/hostess, and their tacos are GREAT! I had the 4 Carnitas tacos, my daugher had the 4 shrimp tacos, and her partner/BF had the 4 smoked brisket tacos. We split an order of red chile rice frijoles and all had Modello Especiales. Great food, great service, great ambiance, and great prices $56 all in with tax tip)
We just happened to see they were serving brunch so glad we went in! I had the chicken and waffles with jalapeño syrup. Loved it! Also, be sure to get an order of beignets!!
I miss tortilla flats so much. This place is below average overall. The service was incredible. The bartender was also the waitress and the owner needs to thank her for keeping the business alive today. Completely by herself. A shame but that's not why the poor review. Finding help these days or being able to afford help is hard right now and I can't fault anyone for it. First off $60 brunch with no alcohol. STUPID EXPENSIVE. We got street tacos and chiliquilles. I wanted to get my 5yr old daughter a bean and cheese burrito. It was $12 and big enough for a grown man. No kids menu so a lot of food was wasted. Usually pay $5 for a bean and cheese burrito. Reggae music, very odd at a Mexican joint but whatever. Had to pay for chips and salsa? Really? No soap in the bathroom? No refills the whole time we were there. I imagine you have to pay for refills here. My eggs were way overcooked. No running yolk. My wife's tacos were dry, I was surprised to see meat on the chiliquilles, I almost thought it was accidental because there was so little meat but it was supposed to have it lol. I don't see coming back.
