The food was just average, typical pub fare, and it seemed too expensive for what was offered.

The restaurant is tidy and well-kept. The food is superb, and the service is both top-notch and quick.

This is a wonderful neighborhood dive bar with an impressive selection of beers and daily drink specials. Everything I've sampled from the menu has been superb, but I especially love the gyros. I also had a tasty Greek gyro salad that I really enjoyed. On nice days, they have outdoor seating available in the back of the building.

Regarding dining in, unless you identify as a middle-aged, blue-collar drinker with plenty of leisure time, this might not be the venue for you. The lighting is subdued even during the day, and the regulars might add to your discomfort with their stares. The TV is typically turned up too loud, and the staff appears overwhelmed and indifferent to attracting new customers. Having only had the chance to dine in a couple of times, I would give it two stars. On the other hand, we’ve had better experiences with Rupe's Roadhouse for takeout. Ordering online can be a hassle—it's best to call in and communicate your order loudly, or go in to place it directly. Their fried fish sandwiches are some of the best in Allegheny County and definitely worth the effort. Just be prepared for the possibility that your order might not be correct every time; be adaptable if you end up missing cheese or tartar sauce instead of cocktail sauce. The fish deserves six stars; it is on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it. Overall, I have never had a bad meal here—the salads and sandwiches are both excellent. As for delivery, that earns just one star. Online orders tend to be problematic, so it's better to pick it up yourself. Plus, how else will you experience the curious glances from the regulars if you opt for delivery? For the regular patrons, the food is fantastic. If you're not in a rush, you can enjoy a few beers or cocktails while waiting for your order, creating a lively atmosphere as you reconnect with familiar faces and observe the diverse crowd that comes through. For regulars, I’d give it five stars!
