Primanti Bros - Pittsburgh

The food was absolutely terrible. It was our first visit to Pittsburgh, and we were recommended this restaurant, so we decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, we expected much better. We both ordered their "specialty" sandwiches, which turned out to be a major mistake. The cheese sandwich consisted of two thick slices of white bread with a thin layer of dried-up cheese, topped with an overwhelming amount of vinegar coleslaw. To accompany it, we got a few cold fries. It was a complete waste of time and money, and I really can’t recommend this place at all! The atmosphere was nothing to write home about either. To top it off, there was a group of about six loud middle-aged men seated at the bar, making a scene. I would advise against eating here!

This location at 100 Art Rooney Ave. is only open on concert days and game days. It is not accessible to the public on any other days.

Was finally able to get down to the PPG location downtown for the first time in a few years. I'd almost given up on Prim.Bros because the chains were almost always way below standard. However, the service was great, the prices are tough to beat, and the food was delicious. I'd recommend stopping by if you have never tried Primanti Bros, but avoid the chain locations or lower your expectations.

Reliably good food. Pittsburger and pizza are the standards.

If you're looking to get a fat belly this is your place. The hero's they make here is definitely fit for kings. Making over stuffed sandwiches that just a ham and cheese with lettuce tomatoes and onions was filling. Staff was incredible taking care of crowds of people in minutes keeping everyone satisfy.
