Nanban - Pittsburgh

This restaurant is the perfect spot for a fusion lunch that is affordable. I recommend trying a combination of empanadas (the mushroom one is the best) and 1-2 bao buns if you're looking for something light or to share. The sandwiches and ramen also looked amazing. Don't be afraid of the spice - it's not too spicy and really enhances the flavor!

This restaurant is a convenient option for a quick bite. The food was average but nothing spectacular. We ended up here because there was a long wait at other restaurants.

We had great experiences with the food and service during our first two visits to this restaurant. However, when we went for dinner last night, we were disappointed to find the chicken overcooked and dry. No amount of sauce could salvage the poor bird. We wondered if there was a new cook or a different supplier for the chicken. On the bright side, the empanadas were good and the service was still fine.

Some of the best ramen in the area is located at Nanban! I can?t with a friend who orders a pork belly bao bun and beef empanada and raved about how good they were. I ordered the chicken shoyu ramen and tofu bao bun (both pictured). The bao bun was thesoftest, fluffiest bun with a delicious sauce on the tofu. The ramen was awesome as well! Just try it you don?t regret whatyou order.

Nanban Asian Soul Food restaurant in Lawrenceville. This dish just blew me away. Gochujang Drumsticks with Biscuits and Tonkotsu Gravy I switched out the drumsticks for a Chicken Breast). This was one of the tastiest meals I have ever had. I can't wait toget back. Carry On Nanban!!
