Grandma B.s. Cafe - Pittsburgh

The food was outstanding, the conversation enjoyable, and the atmosphere was tranquil. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This might truly be one of the few original and authentic restaurants in the greater Pittsburgh area. Grandma B's offers the best customer service I have experienced. The staff will brighten your day and make you feel right at home. The food is also fantastic—definitely a five-star experience for me!

After I placed my order, I realized they only accepted cash. I informed them that I would quickly run to a bank to get some. However, Dorian insisted that I eat first and pay later. After enjoying my meal (the steak and eggs were an excellent choice, if I may add), Dorian told me not to worry about the bill and said I could pay next time. He even gifted me an order of their chicken fries on the house! It was truly a class act all around. Despite their generous offer, I still went to the bank afterward and returned with cash. If you haven't tried this place yet, I highly recommend it! I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Great food! 10/10! The people are so kind there and it's a local, black owned business that's great to support! That being said it is quite small so honestly if you don't mind I'd suggest getting it for takeout. Also it is a predominantly POC area so to my fellow white people, if you're racist or just generally privileged and fragile, don't bother them.
