El Burro Regent Square - Pittsburgh

I live near El Burro and I love a vegan-friendly option nearby. I always appreciate when a restaurant actually tries to remove with its vegan options, instead of just removing meat from a meal and loading the same price. El Burro has a separate vegan menu with tacos and burritos. My favourite is the Chile rellano burrito because it is unique! It is a roasted pepper filled with vegan chorizo, rice and fried beans. El Burro also reduces the price of her vegan Taco trio on Monday (for meatless Monday! . They sometimes have other vegan options too--as they just started to use vegan nachos and they have a veg option of their pozole. The terrace is absolutely beautiful and my purse loves the drinks specialties during the happy hour.

I ordered the vegan Californian burrito (including chorizo, frites, guac, pico, and veg cheese) and it is sooo good! If I lived in Pittsburgh, this would definitely be one of me to places!!

The other review about common prep areas that do not make food vegan is nonsense, but the food here is not good. Unseasoned, undercooked, brown guacamole, vegan options that only remove half of the ingredients, rude staff. Skip.

Idk i really liked it. There is a huge vegan menu. Not everything is fried so u don 't have to deal with the fryer if u don 't want to. Also I 'm not out to punish myself, and it 's good food next to the movies in a meaty heavy area. Good guac, hot sauce, clubber service, margaritas, potato tacos

This place shouldn't be on happy cow. Everything here is fried in the same fryer. Everything here is grilled on the same grill. Vegan ingredients aren't vegan when they're prepared alongside meat.
