I feel like I was in the wrong place and I didn't go there to eat there, but the waiter was very friendly and the food was wonderful. the bread was incredibly fresh and the prices were very good. I got my favorite dish Italy (manicotti) this time, but I definitely want to go back to try the gnocchi as they mention that on their website. Do not let the look (outside or in) or the fact that they do not serve alcohol you from giving this an attempt. The food is great!
I suggest half a point because they never answer the phone on Sunday after 8:00. Since I visited Claudio a few years ago, it's our way to the pizza place. Thin crust, balanced seasoning in sauce, not too much cheese, quality toppings. Claudio himself is a journey. Great guy can't tell you how often I came out with some extras he just cooked. Shade USC does not allow him to serve anymore. It was like eating in your old Italian uncle's cellar. But better food. I love this place.
Gnocchi took off my socks! They. Best. And soup. And bread, and chicken marsala. And... I loved every bite.
Was not there or ate there in a while, but I loved the pizza. Definitely one of the best pizza places in the area! Very recommended for those looking for a good place to eat while hanging out with a few friends. Good chill spot, too.
So many good things. There's just so many good foods here. My husband loves the veal. The bread and olive oil are to die for. The main courses are fantastic, and so are their pizzas. Out last masterpiece was a meatball and garlic pizza. OMG. But I love a place that can put out a killer salad, too. I was really upset with USC trying to shut him down, but I don't know all of the circumstances. So happy he's so close to home and no longer in the South Side, where we've eaten at his Abruzzi restaurant before. We like Claudio in the South Hills where he belongs.
