I was craving biryani and after reading positive reviews about this place, I decided to visit. It is situated in the Oakland neighborhood surrounded by many Pitts buildings. The interior is a bit run-down and not very inviting. I considered getting takeout instead of dining in because of this. The ambiance is definitely not the reason to visit, but the hospitality is worth mentioning. While I waited for my order, I was pleasantly surprised with a glass of cold water and a bowl of rice pudding, known as Payesh in Bengali. Where else can you get a complimentary dessert with takeout? This is true South Asian hospitality. The biryani itself was better than average. It was not the traditional Bengali biryani with potatoes and eggs that I am used to, but seemed to be a blend of Bangladeshi biryani which was a new experience for me. It was heavily seasoned and the portion size was generous. I may return to try the buffet as it is apparently popular among customers. Overall, it is a great choice if you are looking for good value.

The restaurant was okay. It was very affordable, as we paid $12 per person for the buffet. The food seemed homemade and lacked any spice, including the spicy onion chutney and chili chicken. The naan bread reminded me of chalupa bread, which was unexpected but not necessarily a complaint.

The food and service here were top notch! The waiters were attentive, goat meat was tender, and curries were seasoned to perfection. Also highly recommend the cheese naan.

Had a good experience and the owner and staff everyone was overwhelming. Want to go there more and everyone should try their Roast,Ilsha type of desi foods. Everything was really good.

I rated it all five stars even though the service and atmosphere have some room for improvement. The selection/variety were pretty humble as well. But wow... The food was incredible. Everything tasted so good and a buffet for 11.99 in 2024... Amazing. If you like Indian food, this is a great place!!
