Ash Kris Pizza - Pittsburgh

The staff is fabulous and the food is delicious! It's definitely worth stopping by for a late evening bite. The pizza was freshly made and tasted amazing.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. I had the chance to eat from their food truck and had to wait 30 minutes even though I was only third in line when they opened. The chicken gyro was mediocre and the hummus was very bland. I considered asking for a refund but decided against it to avoid causing a scene. I also took issue with their tip jar sign, questioning if they truly deserved tips. Overall, I will not be dining here again.

I stopped by their food truck at the Newcastle fireworks event today. I tried a gyro and babaganoush. The gyro was plain and lacked flavor, and the babaganoush was burnt-tasting. It seemed like they scraped their greasy grill and combined it with hummus. The cost was $5 for the dip and some stale pita bites, which I wouldn't eat again even if you paid me $50. Just not worth it.

I had the pizza, gyro and some other dishes from this place and the pizza is not their strength, but the others were great! The dishes had delicious, large, fresh vegetables and toppings. The prices were low and the shares were large. It is a shame that the location is a little hidden and out of the beaten semple strip. The owner is also incredibly nice. He came out and offered to help me move my couch.

I order from Ash and Kris via GrubHub. My order wasn?t accepted from the restaurant till I contacted GrubHub. GrubHub actually said the restaurant rejected the order but no one notified me and that he would cancel it and give me a $5 credit. During our conversation my order was suddenly accepted. I let him know and said the pizza place is closed. I said well, it just updated the delivery time. He said, do you want the pizza? I said yes. He said, is there anything else I can help you with? Then 30 minutes later the white pizza, wings, breadsticks, baklava and chocolate cake show up. The white pizza was a solid 4.5 out of 5 The wings were crispy but lacking the garlic parm sauce for that 3.5 The breadsticks with cheese a solid 4 The cake was a solid 4. The baklava was also a solid 4. The delivery guy was super friendly (didn?t apologize) and fast. The food was awesome. It was almost worth the whole ordeal. I?m just disappointed that it took two hours. I Didn?t know if it was coming or not... It was just a mess.
