Clean, very traditional Salvadoran cuisine, best pupusas in town, curtido needs a little chili
Great pupusas! We tried the fried plantains this time as well and the Salvadorean horchata which we're also really good.
Initially, the waitress did everything right by asking if it was a service dog. I confirmed it was, and mentioned that her government-issued identification is on her collar. The waitress thanked me, took my order, and left. Shortly after, a male employee approached me and asked the same question. I reiterated that the waitress had already confirmed everything. Despite this, he continued to demand proof in a rude manner. At that point, I was quite upset and pointed out that the proof he needed was on her collar. He ignored my response and kept insisting that I show him the certificate for my service dog. I informed him that his behavior was illegal and that he had no right to harass me. Nevertheless, I offered to show him the certificate, even though I was not legally required to do so. I pulled it up on my phone, but he merely glanced at it before walking away. If service animals are not allowed in the establishment, it would be best to post a notice at the entrance so that people can avoid any embarrassment in front of other customers. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
The food here is delicious and truly authentic to El Salvador. My favorites are the pupusas and the fried yuca with chicharrón. I’m also looking forward to trying the tamales and sopa de gallina. The service can be a bit slow, but the food is fresh and prepared to order.
