Saorsa 1875 - Pitlochry

We booked three nights here to celebrate a big birthday, but four nights stayed. the hotel is a beautiful old house. the rooms are comfortable. I saw negative reviews about bathroom, etc. but ours were good. I wonder if it was renovated (red brain). the breakfast was good. slightly different per day discarded tofu was the best and available on several of our tomorrow. we had a three cursor meal (beetroot starter, aubergine porn, apple/caster cake pudding). we had a five cursor menu (beetroot/blue cheese, eggplant, potatoes/water cycle/wts, roasted cabbage, truffle macaron/ice cream). we tried a cocktail at another night that was very good. there were a few quirks no tw, many dogs, no lunch service because of personal illness. there is a beautiful bar area for relaxing and there are seats in the open. there is a general lack of hospitality staff. the hotel gave us a free night so we could buy the tasting menu when the chef was back to work, which was very friendly.

We were very excited to stay in a vegan hotel. the food was so delicious that we did not eat a night 5 meal, 3 meal, lunch, coffee and breakfast. really interesting and tasteful dishes. obviously quite expensive, but we think it is worth the experience of definitiw. a few small dinge for saorsa there was no towel for the bathroom, and we were not given a key to our bedroom until we were asked on the second day. our friends had about "the best vegan croissants we've ever had" for breakie so we were disappointed that there were none. They had also advised about a community eating experience, with chefs telling us about the dishes where both were absent during our stay. also very embarrassing, but one morning sitting on the loo with the bathroom door open and one of the more pure came into our room without knocking! I (and her) a real scare.

Dinner review I had the 5 cursor tasting menu that was so good. who knew that courgette suppe tasted so good. it was served over a period of 2 hours, which was the right time to appreciate what was served. breakfast that was the star of the show for us! amazing selection that did not include so traditional choices (smoothed beans and a sharp potato/moushroom cache. I don't know what magic was done on the porridge, but I never had a bowl with the porridge as good as this. They must stay in the hotel to get the breakfast that feels almost a pity! hotel I was in the red calibre room. beautiful decorated and really nice bathroom. my only problem is that sound protection is really bad. it is an old building, so that the dinge lärm that blocks a modern hotel. my main problem was the sound. the noise when the neighboring room used a hahn was something that it is not a problem to complain reasonably about it (i.e. you can't yell at someone to brush his teeth. but I think it's a problem to be aware. Of course, if everyone is in bed, it was quiet. Also note that the rooms have no tw. something I was happy about, because if the neighboring room used their, I would have heard every word! I am not sure that I will stay again if I do not think of the amazing breakfast that has made the stay worth! overall a nice hotel with the most friendly staff. eating everything was also a mega plus

No idea how this 3 star hotel is. long story short my man booked 2 nights in the puffin room for my birthday in november. showed me the pressure from the confirmed booking as surprise. I've been overjoyed since I've been here for ever, and I love puffins. as a vegan it can not be more perfect. the hotel however decided that I should not have my wonderful birthday present. they have changed the booking to 2 different rooms for our stay. so Friday (my birthday) in a room, not puffin, and Saturday in a smaller room. How bad is that? I was so disappointed and sad for my loved one who had arranged a perfect gift. Finally, money was back, but they are very slow. when they think they earn a lot of luck in their booking. you could get a bad surprise. I love to support vegan companies, but not these. there is a longer review on tripadvisor. have sent cops of emails to my man to confirm 2 nights in the puffin room for 12 and 13 november to sandra booked. she didn't react. Obviously, it doesn't like getting out. no excuse.

Stayed one night on room and dinner package and had a very good three course menu. First time in an all vegan hotel and would definitely return
