We could visit if there were no groups, but it was still busy. The choice is great and I like the fact that the food is served by the staff, otherwise it would be a mess.
We stopped there for lunch after visiting the Chichén Itzá archeological zone. The place is an open patio set up, with lots of tables under palapas a type of open building with a thatched roof, quite cool , and it seems to be a regular stop for tour buses. Food is very tasty, buffet style, with a section for regional dishes in which special mention should be made of the Cohinita Pibil shredded pork served in a regional sauce, delicious! and an international section for those looking for something familiar. Prices for the buffet were very reasonable. Note: the buffet does no include beverages, and some of them, especially alcohol, can get pricey. The staff was friendly and efficient.
We recommend to stop and eat here when you visit Chichen Itza. The buffet is huge and the food is good. It is fast, cheap and besides Mexican food you can also find continental menu only in case). Good!
We stopped at this restaurant as part of the guided tour for Chichen Itza and a cenote. The buffet was very typical of what you would find anywhere in Mexico so I guess the food was OK. I was a bit taken aback by the...inflated drinks prices – we only had 2 bottles of water (500ml each) and were very surprised by the bill we received $13.50. This after we were informed water is included in the price. Also, as with most tours, you continuously hear how much more affordable the prices were at this place compared to Chichen Itza – luckily we did not fall in the trap of buying anyting. At Chichen Itza we found similar items at better prices.
Great service, great food, very clean and had a small dancing group. Very entertaining. It is very tourism driven, but no pressure and everyone was nice and friendly.
