This very popular restaurant is first class. It is, possibly, the only restaurant in Pisogne that offers a full range of meat, fish, vegetarian and pasta dishes all at reasonable prices although I am quite prepared to be wrong about this . It is very well patronised by locals but few tourists as it is slightly out of town centre. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and friendly and were extremely generous to me when I admitted to liking grappa! We had had our fill of Pizzas (not withstanding how good those Pizzas were so ate, mainly, very locally caught fresh water fish..To drink we always had a half litre of the slightly sparkling local wine although I will admit to having a further flagon as I was enjoying it so much. Don;t expect over the top service or ornately decorated tables etc. This is a locals restaurant; keep that in mind and you will not be disappointed. The Bream is first class by the way and do try the Workers Lunch (Il Pranzo Lavoro at 10 euros (includes a drink and coffee . Highly recommended.
I write this while my better half enjoys a complimentary limoncello. The service was great from walking through the door. The food was great ! I had sliced steak, cooked rare. It was exactly what I wanted, very tasty and cooked perfectly. My significant other enjoyed penne salmon, the only thing that excelled the taste was the portion size. I feel there are some negative reviews about this place , if you are unsure whether to go, take my word for it. Go. Enjoy!!
We found this restaurant well into our stay in Pisogne as it is a bit further than the main square, towards the station end of town. We were glad we did, however, as it is clearly a popular haunt of the locals and invariably busy. It is not fancy, but the food is very good. We did not get round to sampling the pizzas, but they looked amazing and very big. Instead we kept being tempted by the fish, which is simply but expertly cooked. We especially liked the grilled sea bass and sea bream. For €12 you get a large fish, excellent value compared to British prices. The pasta dishes are also good.
The food was of average standard, clean and simple decorated restaurant. suitable for families.with children and for simple meal between meetings.
