Splash Café Pismo Beach

I absolutely adored the beachy vibe of the restaurant. The vibrant colors made me feel like a local. I tried the clam chowder, and it was delightful—no lingering aftertaste like you often get with other chowders, and it was quite filling! My child had the chicken tenders and fries, and she enjoyed them immensely!

I removed my previous 5-star review to share this one. After a year without the chance to enjoy the fantastic food at Pismo Beach, I was thrilled to have the delicious Pismo fare delivered to me instead. I attempted to order last week, but due to delivery issues beyond Splash Cafe's control, the clam chowder arrived at nearly room temperature. I called them to explain, and they quickly resolved the issue by sending me a replacement. This time, there were no delivery problems at all. I'm so grateful they offer delivery; otherwise, I wouldn't have access to this incredible clam chowder.

Splash Café in Pismo Beach is a must-visit for clam chowder enthusiasts. Their clam chowder stands out as one of the finest in the area, thanks to its smooth, creamy texture and flavorful clams. While the chowder is the star of the show, Splash Café also offers a variety of other options, including fried fish and healthier dishes. Nonetheless, if you find yourself there, be sure to indulge in the clam chowder; you definitely won’t regret it!

Came here for the Chilli Bread Bowl, as outstanding as I remember it back in 2000. Cafe is super busy, very small dining area. Can always order to go and sit on the beach.

The BEST clam chowder I've ever had. I grew up going here on trips to Pismo beach, but moved cross country. Was in town with my family and got to take them to try the goodness that is Splash cafe. Getting there was insane due to the car show, and the wait was long, but it was worth it all for clam chowder in a bread bowl. (My photo doesn't do it justice because I had to get it to go and it was a hike back to where we were staying. The chowder is creamy, full of potatoes and clams, and flavorful. The bread bowl is delicious and they give your the scooped out bread too BONUS! Toasted and with butter, dipped in the clam chowder perfection. We also had fried shrimp and chips and a chicken sandwich (picky kids , and they were also tasty and good value for money. Definitely returning anytime I am in town, and brought a Splash cafe mug back cross country for the memories.
