La Sapienza - PISA

Having left a restaurant just around the corner because they couldn't accommodate a request for pasta with butter (obviously all pre-made and ready to be microwaved we turned a corner and saw la Sapienza. The menu covered all the family's requests (pizza, pasta with pesto, something gluten free, caprese so in we went. The outside terrace is on a quiet side road and it did take a few minutes to get some attention from the waiter but after we had been noticed the service was good and swift. Pizza with braesola and rocket was excellent, pasta with pesto home made and freshly cooked, caprese with proper mozzarella di bufala (but dried basil and even the gluten free cannelloni was declared a success. For an unassuming restaurant it was very good.

It was the worst food ever ! Pizza was from fridge , it’s unbelieveable in Italia ! Soup looks like vomit.

Visited for a coffee and it was nothing special. Plenty of other places to get coffee nearby with a better smiley bartender.

Molto accogliente e convenientemente in posizione centrale. Cucina con molte opzioni vegetariane e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Ho preso un buon caffè e un dolcetto alla nutella molto buono, il personale è molto Cordiale e simpatico, da provare sicuramente.
