Yperokeanio - Piraeus

A nice little taverna with seafood, off the beaten track of Piraiki. On offer are various tasty dishes with an ingredient combination not typically encountered at your run-of-the-mill seafood tavernas, plus dishes of the day. The boiled greens salad with mushrooms was really tasty, as was the marinaded fish. The tuna dish (one of the dishes of the day, if I recall correctly) was ok; the tuna tasted a bit off. The deep fried sled with quinoa also an interesting dish. The staff is super nice!!

Delicious freshly made food, great variety on the menu. The fish of course is to die for. The friendly cats are a great bonus!

Supposed to be open by noon, but they stated it’s 12:30 Ok I’ve been waiting for a waiter till 12:38, while they were chatting and laughing inside Clearly ordered fried calamari and tzatziki Received fried octopus bites and garlic sauce full if vinegar Octopus looked like salad from day before which they fried Google has absolutely different photos of octopus served I live in Greece for 10 years and I know how food should look like Just because I spoke English they tried to SCAM me I was so upset that I forgot to take pictures Unacceptable

The place to grab lunch before grabbing a ferry. The food is amazing and portions are huge. Also the restaurant has a really nice vibe to it. The best Greek salad from my entire Greece trip. You should not miss it. I loved the grilled squid, it was perfectly cooked and flavorful and the fried zucchini was delicious.
