Chalet Da Gino - PINZOLO

On the occasion of the trip to the waterfalls in the valley of the genova we have come across this alpine chalet, fast lunch based on cannaderli and coffee beer, canederli with melted butter great lunch outside (despite the rain) spectacular experience to remake

The scenario helps: the valley of the genova is always suggestive. the chalet is just after the waterfalls nardis so you can reach without excessive problems. there is a parking lot, you can stay out or inside the chalet. the environment is familiar, the welcome is friendly, the places quite comfortable and prepared as you expect in a place like this, the staff is friendly and you can forgive some unprepared little ones. the kitchen offers a good choice of typical dishes discreetly prepared with some particularly appreciable. overall a pleasant stop.

The menu features a wide variety of typical dishes, from first to second. Maccheroncini with sausage and tomato, gnocchi di polenta con gorgonzola e speck: abundant, well seasoned and good portions. Yogurt with berries is normal. The service is kind, but it seemed a bit frantic, they are probably calibrated to serve well in case of fullness. Prices are slightly high, but the place can justify it.

On lunchtime this trattoria is stormed; I did not take particular interest in getting us the table, but after a pre-announced wait of 30 minutes and a vigorous reminder from us that we were in the tail and we were not there to sunbathe with beer in hand, we had our table outside. The view is very nice and you eat in a relaxing situation, without pressure to free the table. The menu is very rich and offers the typical dishes of the Trentino tradition: fantastic maccheroncini with sausage ragù (I am the same pastries to the pasta dish eaten in South Tyrol) and the beef with polenta; discuss the desserts (very particular the cake with alpine herbs). Caos for waiting separately (in hiking situations we certainly do not think to book, not being able to predict the travel times with accuracy), this trattoria we liked very much for the quality and care of the preparations; it is not economical, but the prices are in line with the quality of the kitchen. I would gladly return, to walk again in the beautiful Val di Genova.
