Agriturismo Fattoria Di Leopoldo

Visited this restaurant in early May this year while on holiday in Pineto. It is a place i have wanted to eat in for a while having visited Abruzzo over the years. It was well worth the wait. The food and wine was beautifully cooked and plentiful, served by a young man who was always attentive to the table despite being quite busy. The owner was very welcoming and took care to ensure that we were satisfied with our meal. Between his bit of english and my `eating and drinking` standard italian and a little patience we understood everything we needed to. The children were delighted with it but once the word `arrosticini` was mentioned by I am already salting away the pennies to return to Pineto and I will definitely be eating here again with my family

Raniero and his staff provide a perfect traditional italian experience in his beautiful restaurant. the food is simple but excellent the wine is wonderful the atmosphere is noisy but not overpowering or intrusive children are well treated and the bill at the end is astonishingly low for such a good experience

We arrived to stay at Leopoldo after a flight from the UK and drive across from Rome so we were tired and relying on the Sat Nav to get us to our venue! It did not. Due to our lack of Italian and Ranerio's lack of English we struggled! However, we did find someone who knew of the place and Bruno (an Albanian drove his car with us following to find the place (and even he took a few wrong turns! So more signage needed off the main road for starters an explanation of how it works too. Once we had worked it out the food and service were great, real Italian rural food at a good price. Don't expect much for breakfast however, I'd go to the local cafe! Closed on Sunday evening and all day Monday needs to be explained too! If you get lost just look for the A24 that crosses the valley and the restaurant is underneath it!!
