Mountain Cafe - PINE CREEK

Named for the valley its big window looks out towards, Providence is the Hobart cafe scene's newest and shiniest club member.

If you are visiting the bike park at Maydena then this is the place to go for coffee, snacks and lunches. Best toasted sandwich I have ever had. They don’t mind if you are in bike gear and there is plenty of warm indoor seating or sunny outdoor picnic benches. Our group had burgers, duck goulash, coffee and milkshakes. All delicious. If you are staying locally they have milk and a small selection of supplies plus ice creams and cold drinks. The service was amazing too.

Excellent convenience, grocery and cafe. Nice service, friendly owners and the last stop before more wilderness on the road toward civilisation. A vegan's delight! Burgers are good too!

Some great food and a nice atmosphere. If you are heading westward this will be one of the last businesses before you reach the Pedder Wilderness Lodge or Gordon Dam.
