We ordered the daily special, which was chicken fried steak. You can choose two veggies, or if you opt for the lunch portion, you get three options for only $5.25. The mashed potatoes were absolutely heavenly, and the green beans cooked with onions and bacon were just like Grandma used to make. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the hot yeast rolls served alongside—simply fantastic! From what I saw at neighboring tables, everything looked equally delicious—whether it was the big taco salad for $5.45 or the generous plate of biscuits and gravy for just $2.20. I was tempted to walk around and ask for a bite of everything because it all looked so good! If you're in search of quick, friendly service, excellent food, a clean restaurant and restroom, all at incredibly low prices, this is the place to be. Just go!

KITT!! I still affectionately call it Kitten! The name might have changed, but not in my heart! This café is fantastic! It's a must-visit after a night of drinks and dancing with old friends! Mary is by far the best employee and truly deserves recognition! We love MARY KITTEN's!

Dixies Cup Cafe, in Pinckneyville. This lil restaurant packed great taste!! We loved the food, but would kill for the cheesecake. We never felt hurried and everyone was super friendly. In any case, get back!! 5 stars all day!!!
