The room was basic but had a fridge, microwave, bath/shower, and Wi-Fi. Although there was no free breakfast, the dining area was spacious. The highlight of our stay was the pool, which appeared to have been recently renovated. Additionally, there was a hot tub and lovely changing rooms.
There are limited dining options in Pincher Creek, with many places still closed for indoor dining. This restaurant is located within a hotel and has a quiet, slightly dated atmosphere. The server was friendly and welcoming. I started with a cup of tasty beef and vegetable soup, but was disappointed with my main course of liver and onions with mashed potatoes. The mash was dry and lacked seasoning, and the portion of liver was small. However, the liver was tender and well-cooked. The onions and bacon were good, but I wasn't a fan of the gravy. The meal was very affordable, but I'm not sure if I would return in a hurry.
Ordered Veal cutlet meal for take-out by phone. Service was fast and most excellent. Free Cesar salad substitution much appreciated.
The food at the Heritage Inn is good but portions can be small. However the Sunday Brunch is good value for money with a large selection including freshly made omelets. Salad bar is also good.
Restaurant is attached to motel. We tried the lounge for food and drink. The good and the bad: server in bar didn't know anything about wine, white was all they had. Food was good when it came out over about 30 minutes. Some items never arrived. Was taco Tuesday which was a good deal. Will give it another try next time here.
