Alimentari Nevia - PIETRASANTA

This place is a gem! I absolutely loved it! Stumbled upon it on a night out in Pietrasanta. It's quaint and inviting and full of character. On the night I went there was a wine rep from the Chianti region offering wine parings with each course on a fixed priced menu from appetizers to dessert. Everything was delicious from start to finish..PHENOMENAL! If you think you'd enjoy a unique restaurant /botique deli where you are surrounded by artisan breads, pastas, coldcuts, cheeses, and meats, and a beautiful wine selection...this is the place. Luigi, the owner makes most of the coldcuts himself and you can tell by the quality of his food and presentation of his place he takes a lot of pride in what he does. Not to mention, he's a pretty nice guy and has a knowledgeable and friendly staff as well. Absolutely will return this year when i go back!

It was so hot the day we visited Pietrasanta that we looked for a restaurant on the shaded side of the street and stumbled across Alimentari Nevia a beatiful store full of character that sells meats and cheeses but that also had a few tables inside and out. We sat outside and had a fabulous selection of the shop's offerings with bread as well as some ripe and juicy melon to go with the prosciutto. Only one red and one white wine (both good quality) are offered by the glass, but there is a large selection of wines by the bottle and we chose a bottle of delicious chilled vermentino and water to rehydrate! The service was caring and we spent a very happy couple of hours here eating, drinking and watching the world go by it was just lovely.
