La Crocina - Pienza

Very disappointed with our experience here last week. After so many restaurants from Venice, Florence and Montalcino area, this was by far the worst one and we actually ended up going to a second lace after to have proper dinner. Let me start with us being there at 6:50pm (they open at 7pm, however, since the hotel is right above, there is always someone there). They let us stand outside until 7pm, The decor is very nice, and the bathrooms are clean. There was a male and female waiters. We were assigned the waitress, who turned out to be unhappy camper with an attitude and frankly did not really want to be bothered by servicing customers. On several occasions we had to go ask for something while she was sitting around the corner on her phone. Mind you we were THE ONLY table in there. The wine list inst the best and the food reviews were mixed. The Caprese salad spin off on common version was very good, the antipasto a OK. The duck was good quality but under cooked (rare) and the pici pasta w/boar sauce was awful. i come to Montacino every other year and will definitely avoid this place in the future. You can get better food, MUCH better service and spend less money anywhere else. I am giving one star for the decor/cleanliness and one star for the Caprese salad.
