Support a local Shawarma business instead of going to the chain restaurants in the opposite. this place is authentic! very different taste and not casual at all. always decided for the chicken-shawarma wrap and I was never disappointed. fresh ingredients, prepared directly in front of the eyes behind the counter.
Although I don't regularly eat Afghan or Middle Eastern cuisine, I enjoy it. with three vertical rotisseries seems to be the house speciality chickensalwarma. it looked good, but I had a demand for bark meat, so I ordered the bark kebab, served with rice, salat and a selection of naan or a drink. the bark kebabs are ordered so it took a few minutes. at least I knew it was fresh! the salat supplied is also mounted as ordered, with its selection on ingredients. also the spiced rice was freshly produced. the whole plate was dressed with a lot of seasoning and sauces. Finally, the meat was placed and also dressed with sauces. Nice! everything was delicious and I could see that it was obviously made fresh to order. the flesh was well seasoned, delicate, juicy and tasteful, especially with the sauces on it. I even enjoyed the salate where each component of it seemed fresh. that was a very good, tasteful meal. beyond the good tasting, the two colleagues behind the counter were friendly and engaged. I think I have to come here more often!
Went on a Sunday at lunch time. wasn't busy. $10 for 2 chicken shawarmas. Unfortunately Shawarma Empire has them beat for both taste and price. Still, totally acceptable quality. They don't list beef on the menu, but they do have beef shawarma, although it's more of a donair i.e. the processed meat "log" you find in Greek gyros, which is totally fine as well. Will be visiting them again to try the beef next. They also have kebobs and platters, just like Naan and Kabob not far from Shawarma Empire. Very convenient for people like me living in Port Union. Friendly and courteous service. Recommended.
We have driven by this establishment many times and after discovering a coupon for it in our Entertainment book, decided to give it a try. My only regret is that we didn't try it sooner! The restaurant is in a busy, small plaza and is frequented at lunch time by the students of the nearby high school, so try going outside of the noon time frame. It is a long store, facing the side parking lot, so it is a bank of windows letting in a ton of light, showing you just how clean the store is.The food is simple, straightforward and the menu is limited to a few items, revolving around the Shwarmas, Kebabs and Falafels. It is outstanding. You get massive portions, the food is fresh, especially because of the volume they serve. The pricing is more than reasonable and you get your money's worth of food. We've been back twice since our initial visit 10 days ago! It has quickly become a new favorite and I will choose it over big box, burger stores 100% of the time
