Southern Char Steakhouse - Picayune

My first six visits to Southern Char were satisfactory. The prices are a bit high for the area, but the ribeyes have excellent flavor. They do have a fair amount of fat, and you only get one side with your meal. The side salads consist of just lettuce and croutons. However, my last experience was disappointing. Prices have increased by 25%, and my husband's New York strip steak was half gristle and completely inedible. The waiter did not offer any assistance, sympathy, or compensation.

Absolutely delicious! I was truly impressed! Our waitress was the sweetest ever. The quality of the food was excellent, and it was well worth the price.

Wasn’t impressed for a “steakhouse” and prices were way too high… you can go to a better steakhouse for those prices

Absolutely love this place! They know how to cook a steak and the service is always amazing! Come here almost once a week and would highly recommend!

New York strip was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Onion rings were the best. Very impressed definitely will go back.
