Standard vegetarian buffet that had lots of choices including multiple curries. Rice 3 choices seemed to be 50 baht.

Typical jay buffet restaurant. Lots of options. Got there 30 minutes before closing and there was still plenty of food.

Restaurant totally vegan, with many options of food and desserts typical of Thailand, all very good and cheap. The staff are friendly and now one of them speaks a little English :

There are a couple of 'jey ' (vegan stores in Surat Thani and this one is the best. For a province like this where veggie food is hard to find this one is surprisingly good! It 's typical Thai style, so expect buffet laid out food and just point to what you want. No English spoken. The selection is good though and it isn 't just standard food there are a whole load of snacks and drinks and even salapao (steamed bun things. This place will probably save the day for you in a city like this. Their opening hours are quite long and they 're open every day. It 's not exactly the nicest of places to sit but you can 't be fussy. It will be full of Thais eating too which is always a good sign.
