Zookz Sandwiches - Phoenix

This is a must-visit restaurant. Their sandwiches are uniquely shaped and come with a side salad, including their delicious potato salad.

The restaurant offers a diverse selection of entrees, salads, and sandwiches. I recently discovered my new favorite dish, the amazing kale salad. It completely changed my opinion of kale, as it was tastier and more tender than any kale salad I've ever had. Each of us tried something different, and all of the dishes were deliciously prepared and presented.

I tried the #11 dish and found it to be just average. The poached eggs were cooked too long with a hard yolk. The bread could benefit from some salted butter or Asiago cheese to add more flavor. The potatoes didn't have much taste. My husband enjoyed his chorizo sandwich, although he is not as critical as I am. He mentioned that the owner was very friendly, which is a plus. I plan to give this restaurant another try in the future.

This restaurant came up on our social media feed and we thought we needed to try it. It was excellent and enjoyed by all.

I'm a huge fan of this place, lately I've been coming once a week for lunch. I always get the #66 because it's so good I can't get myself to try anything else. They're very fast and consistent, eggs are always perfectly done, and that zinger sauce is fantastic. Love that I can get breakfast during non breakfast hours. The side kale salad is delicious! Their iced tea is actually really good and not bitter (both the pomegranate green tea and the prickly pear black). Staff is really friendly and helpful. I could see that if you're a tall young man that one sandwich may not be enough food for you, but I think the majority of people (myself included) it's the perfect lunch size, and they also have so many different side options so you could double up on sides. Prices are reasonable for the amount as well.
