Salt River Tavern - Phoenix

Located in the Embassy Suites hotel, this absolute dive of a restaurant needs saving by Gordon Ramsey. I wish I had looked at the reviews here before ordering. The wings I ordered tasted microwaved (unevenly heated with a warm sauce poured over them (see picture . The ranch sauce (or maybe blue cheese?!? was so thin I thought it was cut with milk. The only reason I even tried to ingest them was because I was stuck in downtown Phoenix after working all day, endured a 200 mile drive after work, and it was 8pm. An early morning prevents me from looking elsewhere for sustenance. The lobby doesn't allow outside food, blaming the city of Phoenix. However, I think it is an attempt to keep this **** hole open. The only reason there are two stars was because the bartender (Thomas maybe? Can't really read his tag is all over drink service.

One of my preferred places for american food. it's so appetizing. i've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. this place has a nice feel to it. atmosphere is like a restaurant in fort worth i loved.

American food, mmm, quality stuff. Certainly a top place in the area. The staff was very sociable and kind.
