I had the sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh and tasty. I would definitely come back. It's located right next to the Wandering Tortoise, and they delivered our fish there.
This is likely the best tuna poke bowl I've ever had! It's a bit on the expensive side, but the quality absolutely justifies the price. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more dishes!
That said, was it worth $43? Not even close. While the lobster did taste fresh, half of it was undercooked, chewy, and slimy. The roll, though grilled perfectly, was dry and crumbled apart, causing everything to spill out of the sandwich by the second bite. Surprisingly, it lacked flavor despite being a lobster salad mix with mayo, Old Bay seasoning, chives, lemon, and maybe one or two other ingredients. It was comically bad, and the chips were no better—just Utz crab chips, which I definitely do not recommend. Unless you’re really dedicated to this type of cuisine, it's hard to rate it highly. I suggest saving your money and opting for one of their steaks, which looked much more appealing.
We absolutely adore Nelsons! Their lobster roll is hands down the best in town, and the crudo is made fresh every day with care—often by one of our favorites, Ethan! Some highlights on the menu include the coleslaw, soups, and shrimp salad… honestly, everything is fantastic. For the complete experience, enjoy your meal at Wandering Tortoise along with a beer!
