Mel's Diner - Phoenix

Tucked away in an industrial area, this charming old-school diner is a hidden gem. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch! The staff was quick and attentive. I definitely plan to return!

I returned for a second visit, but if you're going to charge extra for mushrooms, they should be fresh instead of canned—yuck! The service was still great, but the toast wasn't really toasted; it was just bread with butter. The scrambled eggs were decent, though.

The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was friendly, and the food was deliciously traditional.

A great place to eat. Although the gravy never comes out hot.

Historic diner! The food is eh not horrible but not amazing either but it's a cute lil diner and the service is amazing
