If you're looking for a five-star, old-world restaurant where the food and service are the main reasons to dine out, this is the perfect spot!

Nowhere do they inform you that they're closed for more than a month for vacation in June and July. One would expect this information to be posted on their website.

We discovered this restaurant while shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Park, and it turned out to be a great find. The Italian food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. They also offer valet parking, which is a nice touch.

I requested an add-on (Grilled Chicken added to the Fettucini with Meat Sauce). While the pasta and sauce were hot, the chicken had cooled to below lukewarm. The Merenghata dessert, however, was excellent. Let it melt in your mouth and the flavor blossoms. More than one of us thought everything was overpriced. We were pleased, however, that the included surcharge (there were eight of us) was 20% of the subtotal, not the total, as is more and more common for restaurants.
