With a one-year-old in tow, it can be rare to receive such warm greetings at restaurants, so we were immediately relieved. The atmosphere is very nice, not overly formal but still classy. I didn't feel judged or out of place wearing a polo, jeans, and a diaper bag. Our server, Kat, was amazing and went above and beyond to take care of us, making excellent recommendations that enhanced our experience. The menu is not extensive but offers a diverse selection of appetizers that are all delicious. The portion sizes are just right, and I must say, the pasta dish I had (Pomodore with grilled chicken) was sincerely the best I've had outside of Italy. I have been thinking about it all day. They even had my favorite Italian beer, Peroni, which was a nice bonus. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Italian food, this place is a must-visit. I'm disappointed it doesn't have a five-star rating across the board.
My friends and I always like to try new restaurants during restaurant week. This week happened to fall on the week of my birthday and we were in the mood for Italian food. We used to frequent Tomaso's, but it seems like they may have closed down. This new spot has become our favorite now, even my Italian husband who is very picky loved everything he ordered from the menu - Caprese, Caesar salad, tiramisu, and Veal Braciole. I tried the veal meatballs, tiramisu, and jumbo shrimp which were all delicious. The lemon drop and manhattan cocktails were great too. The only downside was that we received our wine immediately after ordering our other drinks with no time in between. I also ordered the soup of the day and was served the salad instead, but the server was so kind that it didn't bother me much. Overall, it was a cozy place and the food was fantastic!
I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, until I moved back in 2013. We were looking for a place for a last minute date night and decided to try Christos. The restaurant is super cute and cozy, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I was impressed. Even though we weren't very hungry, we decided to split a pasta dish and a Greek salad. I was extremely satisfied with my meal. The salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed. The creamy pesto pasta was delicious and perfectly sauced. I couldn't get enough of it! To top off the meal, we tried the flourless chocolate cake which was heavenly. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning to try more dishes.
My wife and I went here for our 35th Anniversary. It is a family-owned restaurant since 1987. The food was delicious and a cup of soup of the day, salad and freshly made bread were included with the dinner entrée. The calamari was the best we have ever had. My wife had the veal piccata and said it was so delicious. She knows I like steak and mushrooms and pointed out the New York steak with sauteed mushrooms so I gave it a try even though I had my eye on something else. My steak was tender, seasoned impeccably, and cooked to perfection (medium rare). The server arrived quickly and provided professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful service throughout the evening. Overall it was a wonderful meal, great service great ambiance, and moderately priced for exquisite food. We will be back.
What a charming restaurant hidden right in front of us. I have driven past this place a dozen times and wished we would stop, and finally I had to kill some time (my car was at the mechanic) so I enjoyed an appetizer by myself. Amazing service, delicious sausage/peppers and wonderful company at the bar. A lot of regulars, but everyone made me feel welcome. Highly recommend.
