To be honest, I am English, I am more than familiar with Indian foods and I am happy enough to have eaten it on 4 continentals, with this experience I can tell them that this is high-quality eating, made by a really friendly Nepalese/North Indian team and it is absolutely fantastic!
This restaurant has something very special about it. Love this place. So polite, take great pride in their food and it’s delicious. You can tell the food is prepared with love. I would go back time and time again.
This restaurant is located Riverside and it's quite popular among the Indians for the amazing Thali they serve. A full course meal with dal , sabzi , naan etc for $4 , $7 for chicken thali, it's really worth the money compared to the portions served at other Indian restaurants in Phnom Penh. Even though it was a busy place, the service was quick. Would definitely visit again.
Nice indian restaurant quite close to the royal palace. I had ordered aloo parota and curds, the rates were reasonable and stomach filling. The service was a bit slow but the food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and courtious.
This one is a difficult one for sure... The portions are big compared to other Indian restaurants in Cambodia and our main dish was good! However, as a starter we had Samosas (a fried pastry with a savory filling I didn’t take a photo of). I’ve often had them before and as they are deep fried, they are always super crispy and delicious... at least I thought so... The ones we had today were soft. Maybe because they had been sitting around for a while after the frying process? Who knows... anyhow, they weren’t that warm anymore. Then we got the main dish you see in the picture. Everything was fine besides for the garlic naan bread that wasn’t really warm anymore either. If you know naan bread you’ll know how important it is to have it hot and fresh. Otherwise it gets chewy. This was exactly the case with this one so I told the owner and he took it away. Minutes later he comes back again with the SAME pieces of naan bread (I could see the parts I had taken a bite of already) that he had simply warmed up again. However, it wasn’t really much warmer and as I’m sure you can imagine, still just as chewy as before... I simply cannot understand how he decided to bring the same bread to our table again instead of just bringing new ones. Still 3 stars because the main dish itself was delicious and the waitress (probably the owner’s wife) was being super nice, refilled free water all the time etc. I’d say the restaurant is worth giving it a try. Just make sure they don’t have your food sit around for ages before they bring it to you lol
