Ming's Chinese And Malaysian Cuisine

Please note: I did not try the Chinese dishes, but I have the impression that they are quite good. However, I went there specifically to experience the Malaysian cuisine. As a big fan of belacan, I ordered the belacan shrimp, fried chicken, and curry puffs. I've cooked belacan eggplant myself and tried it at other restaurants, where it had a deliciously strong prawn chili flavor with a nice kick. Unfortunately, the dish I received at this restaurant was dry and came without any dipping sauce (not even sambal), leaving it completely bland—almost like KFC popcorn chicken without any seasoning. I initially thought they had mistakenly given me fried chicken, but the host insisted it was the belacan dish. Even when I asked for sambal chili, they couldn't accommodate me. I managed to eat half of my meal while still feeling hungry, and despite my polite feedback, I had to pay the full price and left. I don't think they know how to properly cook Malaysian food; it feels more like a Chinese restaurant to me. I won't be returning for Malaysian dishes.

Do not buy from here. We ordered garlic toast, which cost $8.90, and it was the smallest piece of bread I have ever seen! It was just one slice measuring only 6 cm long. What a total rip-off!

The food is delicious and offers excellent value for money. The Malaysian dishes are truly authentic and remind me of the flavors found at hawker stalls. The portions are generous as well.
