Walnut Street Cafe - Philadelphia

So, beautiful please with great service, but food was strangely underwhelming for this price point. Dishes arrived under seasoned and just barely warm which was even more inexplicable given that the open kitchen was 10 feet away. Really, in a city with some very very good restuarants, this is just not that good. I would go there for a drink since it is a very nice space but not more than that.

I had a wonderful time! I hosted a brunch for my birthday and for my best friend’s upcoming wedding. One of my friends brought a cake, and the host, who I believe was the manager, kindly offered to cut it for us and even brought out a candle. They truly made my day feel special. The steak and eggs were delicious too!

Delicious birthday brunch, one of the few places that accept a brunch reservation. great food and service. our waitress even composed us two desserts for birthday

The dishes were a little overpriced. we got a “crat” salad, which was claimed to be filled with “tonnes of Jumbo-Klumpen-Kreb”, there were only 5 pieces of crab for $18. that was disappointing. also supplements were overpriced for the value. service was great and decoration / vibe is ingenious otherwise
