Vintage Wine Bar & Bistro

I have been eating at Vintage since it opened, and love their French bistro cuisine. The service has always been excellent, but the head chef has changed over time. On this visit (August 2023), I dismayed to learn that the restaurant has done away with the season specials, which used to be the highlight of every meal I would love to see them bring it back. The menu right now has made several French standards unpleasantly spicy. If I wanted spicy food, I wouldn’t have gone to a French restaurant!

Very tasty food, wish the small plates portions were a bit larger for sharing but otherwise really great!

It was hot inside the restaurant. There was no relief from the heat outside.

This is a cute place. We went here for Happy Hour and enjoyed the food, ambience, and wine. Meatballs were really good. We will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I came in here on Thursday night for an impromptu date night. We made a reservation but did not need to. It was not needed. The place was not packed. However, the music was VERY loud. I had trouble hearing my conversation across the very small table over the loud music. My boyfriend ordered an old fashioned. Probably our first mistake was not ordering a glass of wine. He was not keen on the little cubed ice that was in his old fashioned. Second drink was a bourbon, neat. Can’t really mess that up. The sautéed shrimp were delicious and not over cooked. The Lamb Bourguignon was overpowering on the sauced flavor and less lamb flavor. For $20 I would have much fathered tasted more lamb and less…. Whatever they wanted to call it. Not a bourguignon for sure. Our serve was sweet, attentive and never left me searching for him. But he didn’t hover annoyingly either. He was wonderful. The host, just as kind and welcoming when we first arrived. I will return to try other dishes in the future.
