Veda - Philadelphia

The food at this restaurant was of very low quality. If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine, I would not recommend this place. The dishes lacked flavor and the signature spices and aromas of Indian cooking. The portion sizes were surprisingly small as well. The rasmalai tres leches cake was particularly disappointing - it was served in a cup and lacked any resemblance to rasmalai. It's unclear why it was named that. On the bright side, the service was good.

I took my mother here for dinner during restaurant week. The location was good and had plenty of available parking on the street. The ambiance was chic and relaxed. The food was very good. The standout dish were the mussels. However, they may be an item only available during restaurant week. The value was good. Our server was very attentive and helpful with explaining and recommending different selections. All in all, it was a very nice dinner and a great memory with Mom.

We visited this restaurant during restaurant week and had a great experience! We were seated promptly and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress, Avie (not sure about the spelling), was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The garlic naan was absolutely delicious!
