The Spicy Belly - Philadelphia

Absolutely love this place!!! Food is amazing..thanks Chef Jimmy!!

We decided to try the spicy belly because we love Manayunk and there was a 1000 point bonus. The menu looked interesting and prices reasonable. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. It's a small casual setting that has a fun vibe. The music was a little loud but when we mentioned it to our waiter Dorian, he quickly addressed our concern. Dorian was friendly and knowledgeable. The beer selection was good. We shared wings with the spicy Korean sauce. There were 7 wings perfectly done (crispy per our request)and not overly sauced. A highlight. We both ordered the bimbop, which had good flavor. I expected more vegetables and wished there was less rice, but that has more to do with my taste then there be anything wrong with dish. We were bimbop novices. It was a fun experience overall.

It was a very busy day and almost every menu item had sold out, lol. We were compensated for the inconvenience with a free round of drinks though!!

Interesting mix of styles, very good food. Knowledgeable server, good value

The food is always unique and delicious with excellent presentation. The servers are friendly and attentive. Value is excellent. We always bring food home because the portions are large.
