The Olde - Philadelphia

The air conditioning was not working at the restaurant, making it stuffy and hot. Despite having candles burning, the atmosphere was crowded yet quiet. The door to the rest of the facility outside the bar area was closed, which did not help with the air flow. We only had an appetizer before deciding to leave.

The food was excellent and the service was friendly! The restaurant had a clean and pleasant atmosphere.

I treated my family to Olde Bar for my husband's birthday, as he had requested. He had visited the original Bookbinders years ago and wanted to revisit. He was delighted to see that the restaurant still exuded much of the original charm and ambiance. We received excellent service at a high top table in the bar area. The cocktails and food were delicious during happy hour. We also ordered dinner and were equally pleased with our meal. We won't hesitate to return sooner next time!

I love this place, but they were short-staffed and disorganized. It took a very long time to order, but then service was friendly and efficient. Fantastic signature cocktails. The food was tasty, but one dish lacked the advertised veggies and another featured a very thin pork chop.

The service was absolutely horrible. Our waiter told us he was having a bad day and that he forgot about us MULTIPLE times. My sister’s salmon was raw. And then they gave her the same piece of salmon she sent back after telling her she would receive a new plate. We didn’t have to pay for the salmon meal, but the service was so bad that it was not worth the time or money. Will never return.
