The potatoes and bacon were good, but the pancakes were the strangest buttermilk pancakes I've ever tasted, and not in a positive way. Definitely skip the unusual pancakes!
If you're searching for a great spot for breakfast or lunch in Fairmount, I have just one recommendation: TELA'S! Everything is incredibly fresh and sourced from local Pennsylvania farms. My roommates and I find ourselves ordering breakfast from there nearly every Saturday and Sunday. You can't go wrong with the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich—it's made with thick applewood smoked bacon, along with farm-fresh cheese and eggs. Their pancakes are also fantastic, and they offer a nice variety of produce and other grocery items. Definitely check out TELA'S!
I came to Tela 's for a quick lunch last weekend. I had the veggie omlet and side salad, and my boyfriend had the egg sandwich with home fries. Both were delicious! After we ate, I looked around the market side, and found a few things I 'd like to try, namely a brand of cookie dough that 's tagline was, 'Eat it, Don 't bake it! '
