Tamarind Thai - Philadelphia

We really enjoyed Tamarind's appetizers in the past, but our recent visit was quite disappointing. The restaurant lacked air conditioning, and the only two fans available were reserved for another party, making the temperature feel close to 90 degrees. There was only one waiter attending to us, and when I mentioned the heat, she simply shrugged and said, "I can't do anything," before walking away. I’m giving it two stars because the food was decent; the barley dishes were quite good, but the meat dish was dry, and our appetizer was lacking in seasoning. Unfortunately, this experience wasn't good enough for me to return.

Eating is okay, but in September 2022 they fell the portion size by 50% when I called to see if it was a mistake, they got very insane, insisted that they had not changed the size and attacked me. here is a picture of a $16 escape. $100 for dinner and it won't feed four people.

The food was spicy! I mean spicy! good value and the owner was warm and authentic. nothing nice, just eating good.

Real good red curry and Thai icy! it did not like that pad se ew.

The food was extremely spicy, and I only ordered level 2. I can't help but feel they may have accidentally prepared it at level 5 because I've had their dishes before and level 4 was perfect for me. I ordered the Panang curry and pad Thai with chicken. The portions were generous, with plenty of tender chicken. Unfortunately, now I feel like I have a stomach ulcer. I just wanted to enjoy some Thai food!
