We got excellent and friendly service from the waiter who had a bit of a bond with one of the diners as they shared a name. We all had a tasting talis which is a bargain at $16. It allows you to choose entrees and sauces and come with rice, dal, flaky naan, a samosa and dessert. I had also ordered a breadbaket which contains a number of the delicious types of naans served in the restaurant. I had expected that my nephew would take most of it home, but it was gone very early in the meal. And everyone was full after the talis sampler. For lunch it is the right amount of food The focus in the tastefully decorated dining room is a wall sized golden tapestry which is a great backdrop for photos if you are there fo a special occasion. I have been here a number of times and is a first choice for a place to take guests who like a little spice in their life and their food, and who like it served with care and attention
The food was undoubtedly good, but the servers made the whole experience uncomfortable. Had two servers for reasons unknown and kept bothering us while we did nothing. The first server kept checking up on us every 5 minutes asking if we can order when it wasn't even busy. It felt like she was rushing us out. Again we ordered an entree and sides for each of us and it was not busy. Halfway through, a second server came by and asked if we were done. I don't understand if it's because we look young or because we look Asian. But this is an Indian restuarant and Indians are Asian. At the end, we didn't even stay for an hour for dinner. We barely ate our food because it felt so uncomfortable. Such a shame because I was very excited to try their food.
Consistently good, imaginative food. Service staff knows the menu and can make good recommendations.
We enjoyed our waiter and his knowledge of the dishes. We tried Brunch and was surprised at the choices. Recommend making a reservation. We arrived with our reservation when Indeblue opened on Sunday and within an hour the place full!!
A surprise like no other for 2 foodies happened to be of Indian descent. Philadelphia has had Indian restaurants galore and they have all failed to impress us. IndeBlu was very special. The ambience was great but the food was simply amazing and so was the service. We ordered the tasting menu and it was a good call. The combination of Indian food with an European flair made this a unique restaurant. The chicken and lamb we had ordered were tender and cooked at the right levels. Different dishes cooked at appropriate temperatures and they catered the spice level to our level which is higher than normal. The desserts are very unique with the western blend to the traditional recipes. I have written over 300 reviews for restaurants and there were only 2 other Indian restaurants I had given 5 stars to and IndeBlu would be the third one. This is not a restaurant for people who wanna shovel Indian food. It's about quality, unique tastes and incredible service. Kudos
