Francoluigi's High Note Café

Disappointing. I used to go here for great food and the opera singing servers. It was my go-to place for celebrations. After being seated this time, I was told the servers no longer sing which was sad but ok fine. The food was adequate but not what it used to be. And the service was very slow- we had to actually get up to find the waiter to ask for our bill even though the restaurant was only a third full. Overall impression: Not what it used to be. Don’t bother going.

Loved the food the piano player. Been going here for years the menu seems to have shrunk. The noise level is awful when there are large noisy groups. We couldn't hear our waiter or our own conversation.

Made a reservation for 3 people. Owner decided to put my Wife, my Son and I at a 2top to be able to sell an additional plate at the table of four we had reserved. Owner's poor judgement to sell an additional $20 plate outwieghed our experience. Very disappointing experience.

We have visited this restaurant several times and always appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, along with the live jazz music each evening. While some might label it as just a pizza place, it actually has a lot more to offer, including a great selection of quality wines and beers.

Former Philadelphians returning for a visit asked that we select a restaurant. What better way to celebrate authentic South Philadelphia fare than FrancoLuigi 's? The mussels, veal and specials were outstanding exceeded only by the service. FrancoLuigi 's is consistently (for years) the place to meet up for an excellent dinner that will not damage your budget. Can you tell, we all truly enjoyed it even loved it. You will, too. Thank you FrancoLuigi 's for a delightful evening.
