Cooks Family Diner - Philadelphia

Tent for the Prime Rib Special. It was perfect. Genuine potatoes and engraving a perfectly boiled prime rib. Can't wait to get back to the cookies and Gravy Special.

I have to give this place five stars. It is a newer built, beautiful furnishings with plenty of seating and lighting. I think it's really family owned and operated. For breakfast the portions were very generous and the price didn't allow to complain. Everything was perfectly cooked, and there were flowers at every table. Service was good for my table, but I noticed a local walk forward to ask for more coffee. Maybe just because he's a local? I am back until they prove me otherwise, and if they do, I will update this review.

The Cook's Family Diner was the first place in 2009 when we moved to the area. At that time, my 2 young children, 5 and 2, and I myself dine in and were immediately in love with homemade macaroni and cheese. The Friday Fish Fry and Steak Special is a treat that our family enjoys for special occasions because they are so good. Had brunch and coffee with a wonderful lady friend from the church last summer and we both enjoy the selection

The food is great and Sue is attentive, efficient and personal.

I just felt in love with this place, is just AMAZING. Food is absolutely delicious and the prices are incredible low. Service is wonderful, every single person at the place was welcomed like home. Best hot chocolate and pumpkin pie I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back.
