Bassetts Ice Cream - Philadelphia

The ice cream here is absolutely amazing! I can confidently say that it contains far fewer artificial ingredients than what you typically find at an ice cream shop. I highly recommend trying the peach flavor; it tastes fresh and surprisingly not artificial at all.

In April, we were in Ohilly for the volleyball qualification and decided to grab lunch at the market. I spotted Bassett Ice Cream and couldn’t resist trying it out. I was initially leaning towards the Moose Tracks flavor, but after asking the cashier for her recommendation, she suggested the Peanut Butter Dream specialty shake. It was absolutely delicious!

This amazing ice cream shop is located in the Leseterminal. I've visited many times, and the staff is always friendly, helpful, and quick! During this recent visit, I went during the flower show, which meant the terminal was packed with people. However, Bassetts handled it without missing a beat. My order was placed, paid for, and my delicious treat was ready in under 5 minutes. The Oreo flavor is delightful, the chocolate piece is exactly what you'd expect, and they have a fantastic selection of cones and toppings!

Just because they're America's first ice business, I made the trip to try it and I wasn't disappointed!

This is located inside of the Reading Terminal Market. There was not a line when we were there which is unusual according to other reviews. We really want to like the ice cream but it was ok and not a lot of flavor. We got toffee and banana and you can't taste either flavors. Pretty disappointed in that regards. The service, however, was great. Pleasant staff and prompt service.
