A wonderful place to grab some sambosa and hookah (my favorite), or BYOB and relax to a perfectly prepared chalow gulpea or lamb corma. Ariana has a good family feel and the owners and staff are great people! Stop by this gem and enjoy!
We've always had a great meal here, and we can usually walk in without a reservation. There are plenty of vegetarian options.
We came here because we had an Entertainment Book coupon but the food will keep us coming back. Never had Afghan food before this and it was not exactly what I expected so the owner walked us through the menu and suggested dishes that would give us a true flavor of Afghanistan. The kabobs and chickpea dumplings along with a very delicious honey dessert were just great plus the family who owns it couldn't be nicer.
Very unique flavorful food. I did not know much about this regional cuisine. It is like northern Indian, only in that they have nice stews and a unique variant of kebabs. However, the food is NOT hot or spicy. Rather, you will find unexpected flavors, due to the use of rosewater, bitter orange, an other 'silk road ' flavors that are uniquely combined. A real authentic family-run restaurant with everything served with love.
I have been eating at Ariana’s for more than 15 years. It is the real deal when it comes to Mom and Pop home cooking. The service is excellent, the food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is like eating in your living room, and the music makes you want to dance. It’s a great way to experience the people, food and culture of Afghanistan!!! Oh yes, remember to bring along a nice bottle of wine. It’s BYOB.
