We were so often here and have always eaten super tasty. the vegan cheeses are simply ultimatiw! but also all other dishes! simply mega!

Vegan and vegetarian food and snacks. lovingly dressed and homemade. phenomenal tasty, not only for vegetarians.

Came extra because of the vegan cheese and it was absolutely worth it! thought my father gave me the wrong teller really a great recommendation!

The vegan lasagne was quite good and even our 9 years old loved it very much. the owner was friendly and attentive. the walk is not spectacular, but at least the children liked the cows

Hündeleskopfhütte is the first vegetarian Hütte in the alps. What a great success. It is located up in the mountains and from its terrace you have an outstanding view. To get there you just have to go on a quite steep and beautiful 1-hour-hike from the town of Kappeln. The hike can be managed with a stroller. There are many meatless dishes on the menue. Originally we aimed to eat some vegan Käsespätzle but when we called in advance the very nice innkeeper told us that she was out of vegan cheese and wasn't able to serve the meal for several days. When we arrived at the cabin we unfortunately were told that there was also no more vegan lasagne left that day (Saturday at around 1pm) and also the vegan Brotzeit wasn't available. So checking the menue in advance didn't really help and we had to be flexible on the spot. What a pity. I really had loved to try the Käsespätzle or the lasagne. Another downer was the esoteric touch that welcomed us. A leaflet with some quackery nonsense tried to inform people about the dangerous FFP2 masks. Regulations against the spread of the Corona virus weren't taken very seriously either. Guests weren't required to wear masks. On another leaflet it read “you can wear a mask if it makes you feel safer Furthermore there were also some books covering dubious approaches of therapy amongst the gimmiks they sell at the cabin. The service was very kind and welcoming and also the food was good. We came with high expectations but unfortunately they weren't met.
